Lahore, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar while paying tribute to the eternal sacrifice of Pakpattan Police Sub-Inspector Mohammad Sarwar Akram, who was martyred in cross firing by dacoits, said that dutiful and brave officers and officials of the police department like Mohammad Sarwar Akram are real heroes of department.
IG Punjab said that Muhammad Sarwar Akram died in the line of duty, Pakistani nation and police department will never forget the sacrifice of their brave son. IG Punjab said that the martyr’s family and young son will be taken care of and the Punjab Police will never leave them alone at any point in their life. Taking notice of the incident, IG Punjab asked for a detailed report from RPO Sahiwal
According to the details, Farid Kot Pakpattan picket incharge, sub-inspector Mohammad Sarwar Akram was chasing the dacoits who were robbing the citizens last night, and as a result of the cross-firing with the bandits, he was martyred. In the exchange of fire, one dacoit was killed and two Police officers were also injured. IG Punjab ordered DPO Pakpattan to conduct an inquiry into the incident under his supervision.
He said that close contact should be kept with the family of Shaheed Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram and all possible facilities and comfort should be provided to them. The number of martyrs of Pakpattan Police has increased to 16 with the eternal sacrifice of Sub Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed. Sub Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram graduated from Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan in 2011 and joined the Punjab Police as a Sub Inspector in 2015.
Akram made a name for himself as a dutiful officer in no time. Last year, he also performed duties as SHO in Dal Wariyam Pakpattan police station while these days he was serving as the in-charge of Farid Kot picket, police station Sadar Pakpattan. Mohammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed’s father retired from Pakistan Army as a Naik.
He died some time ago. Mohammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed along with his team was chasing the robbers who escaped after the incident last night. As a result of cross firing from the robbers, Muhammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed was martyred.
Muhammad Sarwar Akram left behind an elderly mother, a widow and a 2-year-old son Azan among the bereaved. The funeral prayers of Muhammad Akram Shaheed was offered today afternoon at DPO office Pakpattan in which RPO Sahiwal and other district police officers including DPO Pakpattan participated. After performing the funeral prayers, Muhammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed was buried with full honors in his native area of Qabula Sharif Arifwala.
