Lahore, August 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken a big step regarding the training courses of probationary officers, under which the duration of the courses has been reduced. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued a notification to amend the duration of promotion courses for probationer ASIs and sub-inspectors. According to the details, the duration of A, B and C courses has been reduced to one month, while the duration of D course has been reduced to 06 months. Officers recruited as Direct Upper Sub-Ordinates will be confirmed after completing a probation period of 03 years, Direct Sub-Inspectors recruited under P Cadet quota will not have to repeat training and A, B, C and D courses. These officers will be given refresher courses of two and a half months in police stations as sub-inspectors, they will spend 03 years as probationers. ASIs who have not completed practical training their practical training on being recruited as Sub-Inspectors
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken good measures for the welfare of retired police employees. According to the details, a special tab for retired police officers has been added in Punjab Police’s (HRMIS) app, retired police officers can use the online forum to resolve their professional issues including pension. Retired police employees will not have to visit offices to solve their problems. With this initiative, the problems of retired police employees will be on priority basis.
