Lahore: In a significant outreach effort, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police personnel and their families, issuing immediate orders to address their requests and applications for relief. This meeting underscored a proactive approach to addressing the welfare needs within the police force.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar’s directives included a variety of specific actions aimed at providing support to the police community. He ordered the DIG Welfare to offer medical assistance to Lady Constable Naheed Saleem and directed the AIG Admin to facilitate the employment of the son of the late ASI Ghulam Shabbir as a junior clerk. Further, the IG Punjab took steps to forward DSP Nasir Mahmood Malik’s application for ACR completion and promotion to the Additional IG Punjab for necessary actions.
Additionally, Dr. Anwar addressed requests from families of deceased and martyred personnel, ensuring the transfer of a plot for the widow of martyred Constable Abdul Hamid and approving the recruitment of the son of the late Sub-Inspector Syed Rasool on a family claim basis. These orders are part of a broader commitment to resolve issues related to discipline, administration, and welfare promptly.
The Inspector General emphasized the importance of resolving police employees’ problems swiftly and ensuring that all possible relief is provided to them, demonstrating a dedicated effort to enhance the welfare and morale of the police force in Punjab.
