Faisalabad, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, dedicated his visit to Faisalabad to the welfare of the families of police martyrs and the progress of the city’s Safe City Project. He emphasized that supporting the families of police martyrs and improving public service delivery are top priorities for the department.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar distributed ownership papers of plots to the families of martyrs from the Faisalabad Police. These plots, part of various residential schemes with modern facilities, were allocated to 10 martyr families. Dr. Anwar stated that the welfare branch at the Central Police Office is arranging plots for all families of martyrs who sacrificed their lives before 2017. Additionally, support from the endowment fund is being provided for the construction of houses on these plots.
The IG Punjab also visited the martyrs’ memorial in the Police Line Faisalabad, laying flowers and praying for the deceased. He assured that the police department would not leave the families of martyred policemen alone under any circumstances.
Furthermore, Dr. Anwar, along with MD Safe City Authority DIG Ahsan Younas, inspected the Safe City Project in Faisalabad. Project Director PITB and other officials briefed him about the construction work. He commended the efforts of RPO Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan and his team and urged the swift completion of the project.
Concluding his visit, IG Punjab toured the recently upgraded Police Station People’s Colony, assessing the improved facilities and services. He reiterated the department’s commitment to enhancing public service delivery in police offices and vowed to continue improving facilities and services for citizens.
