Lahore, In a significant meeting at the Central Police Office, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of the police force. He urged supervisory officers to address welfare, discipline, or professional matters of subordinate staff promptly and fairly.
According to Punjab Police, during his interaction with police employees, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stressed that resolving employees’ problems is essential to demanding better performance from them. He instructed all officers to ensure timely resolution of issues while maintaining close contact with their subordinates.
In the meeting, IG Punjab listened to the requests and problems of police employees and citizens, issuing orders for immediate relief. Notably, he directed the AIG Admin to process the recruitment application of the daughter of Lahore Police Head Constable Mirza Zahid Baig (deceased) on merit. The request by the wife of Shaheed Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yusuf was forwarded to DIG Operations Lahore for necessary action.
Dr. Anwar also instructed DIG Welfare and Finance to provide immediate relief regarding the guzara allowance request from Constable Muhammad Inam Elahi’s wife. He further directed DIG Establishment II to consider the reinstatement request of Head Constable Retired Syed Nazim Hussain on merit.
Additionally, the AIG Admin was tasked to take action on the repatriation request of Complainant Cell DEO Mohammad Tufail to PSIA Chung. On a citizen’s request, IGP Punjab directed the AIG complainants to provide all possible relief as per merit.
These directives underscore the commitment of the Punjab Police leadership to enhance the welfare and satisfaction of its personnel, recognizing that a well-supported police force is crucial for effective law enforcement and community service.
