Islamabad: In a significant move to address the concerns of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, held a meeting at the Central Police Office today. The meeting focused on directly hearing and resolving the grievances presented by police personnel, reinforcing the department’s commitment to its staff’s welfare.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar took decisive actions on various requests from police employees, including departmental promotions and transfers. For instance, he directed the DIG Establishment II to expedite the departmental promotion for Head Constable Baqir Hussain. Additionally, upon receiving a request from the son of Constable Muhammad Rashid Shaheed, Muhammad Haseeb, for admission in Government College, IG Punjab directed the DIG Welfare to provide necessary assistance.
The meeting also addressed several transfer requests and recruitment claims on a familial basis, emphasizing fair and merit-based resolutions. Dr. Anwar instructed senior officers to maintain close contact with their subordinates to ensure timely resolution of their personal and professional issues, and to report back to the Central Police Office on actions taken.
