Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to police officers and officials who successfully resolved serious crime cases, including murder and bank robbery, in Faisalabad. A special ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor these officers for their exemplary service.
According to Punjab Police, seven officers from Faisalabad received letters of appreciation, and 21 officers and officials were awarded cash prizes of 20,000 each for their diligent work. The accolades were given for several significant cases, including the arrest of individuals involved in the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl in Dijkot, and the apprehension of a gang responsible for bank robberies and other crimes in Faisalabad, Mianwali, and Rawalpindi.
Specifically, SSP Investigation Captain Retired Muhammad Ajmal, SP Usman Munir Safi, and DSP Atta ur Rehman were recognized for their work in the Dijkot case, while SSP Operations Rizwan Ahmed Khan and SP Lyallpur Irtaza Komail received commendations for their efforts in apprehending the robbery gang. Additionally, ASP/SDPO Gulbarg Circle Awais Ali Khan was lauded for solving two cases of robbery with murder, and DSP Nishatabad Umar Draz was acknowledged for bringing three dangerous gang suspects to justice.
IG Punjab Dr. Anwar praised the officers and officials for their excellent performance and directed a speed-up in operations against tyrants, dacoits, miscreants, drug dealers, and habitual criminals. He emphasized the importance of community policing measures alongside anti-crime operations and instructed RPOs and DPOs to personally monitor the crackdown against serious crimes.
