Lahore, March 01, 2023 (PPI-OT): Under the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, priority measures are being taken for the welfare of police employees as well as their families. In this regard, IG Punjab while taking another good step has increased departmental financial assistance given to police employees on the occasion of their daughters’ marriage. In a message to the force, IG Punjab informed about the measures taken under new policy by which police employees will be given one lakh rupees as a gift on the occasion of the marriage of all their daughters.
Earlier, employees were given more money on the marriage of the first daughter, less on the marriage of the second daughter and even less on the marriage of the third daughter. Now onward, all daughters of police employees will be given equally one lakh rupees as gift by police department. In return of these gifts, Dr. Usman Anwar ordered the police personnel to perform the duty of protecting the daughters of the nation with full diligence and commitment.
He directed that the police personnel should stop the hand and eye raised towards the daughters of others in the same way as they protect their own daughters. In a message issued to the force, IG Punjab also announced to double the burial expenses received by the department to police employees. IG Punjab said that under the new policy, the family members of a police personnel will be paid one lakh rupees instead of 50,000 in case of death during service. Dr. Usman Anwar said that it is necessary for police employees to perform their duties with full honesty, sincerity and dutifulness and spare no effort in protecting the life and property and dignity of the citizens. He said that priority measures will be continued for the welfare of the police force.
