Lahore, In a bid to address public grievances and hear their concerns firsthand, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar held an open court at the Central Police Office. The session saw participation from citizens and police employees spanning various districts, including Lahore. In response to the issues raised, Dr. Usman Anwar mandated immediate corrective measures.
According to Punjab Police, Directives were issued to supervisory officers emphasizing the need for swift action and relief for the citizens. Additionally, Dr. Usman Anwar attended to the concerns of police officials and female employees from different districts. The administration, welfare, and discipline branches received orders to take immediate action on police employees’ requests, adhering to merit in providing relief. Highlighting the proactive approach, Dr. Usman Anwar shared that an open court is organized daily at the Central Police Office to address citizens’ issues. He also reminded the public of the 1787 helpline available for lodging police-related complaints, which operates seven days a week, accepting grievances through calls, SMS, and email.
