IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the performance of DPO Jhelum Nasir Mehmood Bajwa and his teams

Lahore, September 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated DPO Jhelum Nasir Mehmood Bajwa and his team. Due to the efforts of the Jhelum Police and continuous follow-up, the accused wanted in the investigation of the British girl Sarah Sharif’s death case were forced to surrender. The British authorities appreciated the efforts of the Punjab Police and their cooperation in searching for the alleged suspects. According to the details, the three alleged suspects involved in the Sara murder case (UK) Urfan Sharif, Benish Batool, Malik Faisal came to Pakistan and went into hiding along with 05 children after the incident. Interpol wrote a letter and asked the Punjab Police to locate and interrogate the said persons.

DPO Jhelum Nasir Mehmood Bajwa formed 02 teams under the supervision of DSP Sadar comprising SHOs Sadar, Chautala, In-charge IT and other members. The police teams conducted search operations in Jhelum, Sialkot, Mirpur, Rawalpindi, Gujrat after investigating the Nadra records, CDRs of the issued SIMs of the alleged accused. On 11th September, DSP Sadar searched a suspicious house on the basis of human intelligence resources in which 05 children of Urfan Sharif were recovered. Due to continuous follow-up and search operations suspect accused including Urfan Sharif, Benish Batool and Malik Faisal surrendered before the UK authorities. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the performance of DPO Jhelum and his team for their excellent work in the high profile case.
