IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Announces Record Scholarships for Police Employees’ Children

Lahore: In a significant educational initiative, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has overseen the issuance of record scholarships totaling over 102.6 million rupees for the children of police employees pursuing higher education. This move is part of a broader effort to support the educational advancement of the police force’s families, emphasizing both academic and religious studies.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar announced that 67.3 million rupees had been allocated to 418 students enrolled in BS Honors programs to cover their tuition fees. Additionally, 35.2 million rupees were awarded to 371 children who have completed the Hifz of the Quran, furthering their religious education. This comprehensive scholarship program is designed to foster educational opportunities for the children of police personnel across the province.

The initiative includes multiple memorandums of understanding with various educational institutions to ensure the best possible education for these children. Dr. Anwar also highlighted ongoing efforts to provide foreign scholarships and career development opportunities to nurture the talents of these students, reflecting a commitment to their long-term professional and personal growth.
