IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Allocates Over 30 Lakh Rupees for Injured Policemen’s Treatment

Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:In a move prioritizing the health and welfare of police officers and officials, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has sanctioned over 30 lakh rupees for their medical care. Specific allocations include 1 million rupees each to injured police officer Amir Majeed and head constable Ghulam Abbas, 0.5 lakh rupees to officer Ijaz ul Haq, 3 lakhs to driver constable Saifullah, and 2.5 lakhs to Muhammad Nadeem of Lahore Police.

Highlighting the importance of the swift recovery and rehabilitation of those injured on duty, IG Punjab expressed that the department would extend all possible support. Instructions were given to utilize welfare sources’ income optimally for treatment.
