Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken significant steps to ensure the health welfare of the police force, with more than 10 lakh rupees being issued for the medical expenses of personnel from various districts.
According to Punjab Police, this initiative includes substantial financial support for several members of the police force and their families facing serious health issues. Lahore Police Constable Muhammad Imran received two and a half lakh rupees for his wife’s cancer treatment. The wife of the late Constable Muhammad Ajmal of Dera Ghazi Khan Police was provided with 02 lakh 50 thousand rupees for medical treatment. Retired ASI Zulfiqar Ali also received two and a half lakh rupees for his wife’s cancer treatment. Additionally, one lakh rupees were allocated to the wife of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hussain for her medical expenses. Driver Constable Naveed Ajmal Sulehri was given Rs. 01 lakh for spinal cord treatment, and Rahim Yar Khan Police Constable Naveed Anjum received Rs. 01 lakh for brain fungus treatment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed the continuation of health welfare measures for police employees, emphasizing that no police personnel or their family members suffering from medical problems will be left unsupported. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Punjab Police to the health and well-being of its members and their families, ensuring that they receive the necessary support during challenging times.
