Lahore, In a significant move for the wellbeing of the police force, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has allocated over 13 lakh rupees for the health welfare of police personnel.
According to Punjab Police, this allocation includes a substantial amount for various medical needs of the force. A sum of 10 lakh rupees was granted to Attock police constable Muhammad Ashfaq for liver transplant expenses, while Mianwali Head Constable Muhammad Ilyas received 1 lakh rupees for disc problem treatment. Additionally, Constable Raja Nadeem Arif of Rawalpindi was given 1 lakh rupees for diabetes and related disorders treatment, and Constable Muhammad Awais from the Police Training College Chung Lahore received 83,257 rupees for medical expenses. Furthermore, Langri Muhammad Ilyas of the Special Branch was allotted 50 thousand rupees for lung disease treatment.
These funds were released following the approval of the Welfare Management Committee, with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar affirming the ongoing commitment to the health welfare of police employees facing health issues.
