Lahore: In a significant meeting held at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, engaged directly with police employees and their families to address their concerns and streamline welfare measures. The IG Punjab affirmed his commitment to the welfare of police personnel, emphasizing that addressing their personal and professional issues remains a top priority.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar listened attentively to the grievances and requests of the police staff, issuing immediate orders to provide necessary relief. He stressed the importance of maintaining regular communication between officers and their subordinates and mandated that reports on actions taken in response to employee requests be submitted to the Central Police Office.
During the interactions, specific cases were addressed; IG Punjab forwarded Constable Muhammad Aqeel Akhtar’s plea for assistance with medical expenses to DIG Welfare. Similarly, the request by Head Constable Muhammad Saleem for his son Muhammad Uzair Saleem’s family claim-based recruitment was directed to AIG Admin for further processing. Requests from other police employees, such as Langari Syed Mubeen Shah for a transfer to Multan, were also promptly directed to the relevant authorities, in this case, the Additional IG Training.
Moreover, the meeting covered a range of other critical issues including discipline, promotions, and administration, reflecting a comprehensive approach to handling departmental matters. Immediate relief was also granted for health welfare concerns of Head Constable Imran Ali and Sub-Inspector Haq Nawaz from Lahore Police, showcasing a responsive and action-oriented leadership.
This meeting marks a proactive step towards enhancing the welfare and professional environment for Punjab Police employees, ensuring that their concerns are not only heard but acted upon swiftly.
