IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Addresses Police Employees’ Concerns in Lahore

Lahore: In a significant move aimed at bolstering the welfare of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar recently held a meeting at the Central Police Office where he directly engaged with staff members to address their concerns and issued orders for immediate relief.

According to Punjab Police, during the meeting, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar listened attentively to the grievances of the police employees, which ranged from promotions and accommodations to medical and welfare support. He issued several directives to ensure that these concerns were promptly addressed by the relevant authorities. For instance, he forwarded the promotion application of Constable Ansar Shehzad to the DIG Telecommunication and directed DIG Welfare to assist with the medical treatment expenses of Constable Muhammad Aslam’s son.

Dr. Anwar also emphasized the importance of improving liaison and coordination between supervisory officers and their subordinate staff to effectively address the personal and professional issues faced by them. He instructed that requests like the inclusion of Constable Dilshad Ahmad from Gujranwala in the A-1 list and provision of official accommodation to Traffic Warden Zeeshan Azhar should be resolved swiftly, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the welfare of the police force and their families.

The meeting concluded with IG Punjab directing senior officials, including the Additional IG Punjab, to expedite departmental promotions and address other outstanding requests related to recruitment, discipline, and welfare. This initiative by Dr. Usman Anwar underscores a dedicated effort towards ensuring that the needs and welfare of police employees and their families are prioritized and addressed efficiently.
