Lahore, In a significant meeting at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police officials and their families, addressing and resolving various service-related concerns. The IG Punjab’s actions demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of the police force and their families.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar listened attentively to the requests and problems of the police employees and issued immediate orders for resolution and relief. Among the actions taken, IG Punjab directed the DIG Establishment II to address the service-related application of Constable Sabeel Ahmed from Gujranwala and instructed the AIG Finance to look into the leave encashment request of retired Constable Christopher of Faisalabad.
Further, Dr. Anwar ordered financial assistance for Sub-Inspector Ahmed Javed from the legal fund, who is facing legal challenges. The IGP also responded to the application presented by the wife of deceased constable Khalid Mahmood Shahid, ordering the recruitment of his son on a family claim. Additionally, he directed the DIG Organized Crime Lahore to assist Naib Qasid Muzamil Munir with his request.
Dr. Anwar’s orders also included directives to the DIG Welfare for various cases. He ordered immediate relief for a request regarding medical assistance for the daughter of a wireless operator from Sahiwal and directed the processing of requests for financial assistance for the medical education fees of daughters of ASIs Muhammad Zubair and Muhammad Shahbaz. The IG Punjab also addressed the financial support and education scholarships for the children of ASI Bashir Ahmed Shaheed and Martyr ASI Muhammad Akram.
In his remarks, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the welfare of police employees is a top priority and urged officers to ensure timely measures under personal supervision. This meeting underscored the Punjab Police’s dedication to addressing the needs and concerns of its workforce and their families, highlighting a compassionate approach towards employee welfare.
