IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Addresses Personnel Issues and Family Requests at Central Police Office

Lahore: In a significant meeting held at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with police personnel and their families to address their issues and requests. The meeting saw immediate directives issued for the resolution of several concerns raised by the staff and their relatives, focusing on welfare, scholarships, recruitment, and promotions.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting was productive, with Dr. Usman Anwar actively listening to the grievances and requests of the police force and their families. He issued several directives aimed at providing relief and support. Notably, Dr. Anwar instructed the AIG Admin to relieve Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal from his current duties at the Central Police Office as requested.

Further, the educational aspirations of Constable Tariq Mahmood’s son were addressed as Dr. Anwar forwarded a scholarship request to the Additional IG Welfare for expedited processing. The meeting also tackled issues of contract employment, where requests for hiring retired DSP Syed Abrar Hussain Naqvi and retired Inspector Muhammad Aslam as trainers were sent to the Additional IG Investigation Punjab for consideration.

Promotions were another critical focus of the discussion. Dr. Anwar directed that the promotion requests of Inspector Manzoor Hussain and Abdul Karim be processed based on merit, emphasizing the importance of fair and merit-based advancements within the police force.

Additionally, recruitment concerns were also managed, with specific instructions to address the recruitment request for the son of retired Ministerial Staff Sawar Khan. Dr. Anwar also forwarded the request for re-evaluation of lower class course results for Constables Muhammad Imran, Waqas Raza, and Akash Masi to the Additional IG Training, highlighting the need for accuracy and fairness in training assessments.

Dr. Usman Anwar reiterated the priority of police personnel welfare and assured that all possible relief measures would continue to be implemented based on merit. He urged supervisory officers to ensure prompt resolution of personal and professional issues faced by subordinate staff and to provide immediate relief for police personnel requests, sending reports to the Central Police Office for further action.
