IG Punjab directs quick operations against anti-social elements across the province

Lahore, July 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):On the orders of IG Punjab Inam Ghani, expeditious operations are being carried out in all the districts of the province to improve the process of protection of life and property of the people. In this regard, Kasur Police led by DPO Imran Kishwar is fighting day and night against anti-social elements. Police teams arrested a total of 433 criminals during the month of June, involved in dozens of serious incidents and 1.3 million worth of stolen property was recovered after arresting 24 accused of 06 dangerous dacoit gangs.

According to details, on the special instructions of DPO Kasur Imran Kishwar, during the month of June, the police, while conducting operations against criminals, arrested 124 dangerous criminals involved in serious cases like murder, robbery and dacoit while 14 court absconders were also arrested. The proclaimed offenders also included 45 A category proclaimed offenders. Similarly, in a large scale crackdown on drug dealers, 94 notorious drug dealers were arrested and 52 kg of hashish, 1.5 kg of heroin, 890 litters of liquor, 80 litres of lahan and 03 wine kilns were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Cases were registered against crackdown on illegal arms holders, 05 rifles, 22 guns, 111 pistols and 05 magazines were recovered from the possession of 139 accused. 06 gambling dens were raided and 38 suspects were arrested and thousands of rupees were recovered from the robbers. 24 accused of 06 dangerous robbery gangs involved in dozens of robberies and dacoities were arrested and more than 1.3 million worth of stolen and modern illegal weapons were recovered from the possession of the accused. 32 cases were challenged with the arrests of the accused.

DPO Kasur Imran Kishwar said that crackdown against criminals, robbers, drug dealers, habitual criminals and criminal elements would continue on a daily basis to ensure safety of life and property of the citizens. The people should consider the police as their protector and helper and immediately inform the concerned police about the presence of suspicious persons. Inshallah, using all available resources to protect the lives and property of the people, no sacrifice shall be spared in this regard.
