IG Punjab Conducts Surprise Visits to Police Stations and Development Projects in Lahore

Lahore, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, undertook surprise visits to various police stations, offices, and welfare projects across Lahore. His tour included inspections of ongoing construction works and issuing directives to ensure high standards and timely completion.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar’s visit began at Qurban Police Lines, where he inspected the residential apartments currently under construction. The Secretary of Communication and Works briefed the IG on the progress, following which Dr. Anwar emphasized the need for swift and high-quality completion of the apartments.

The IG then visited Punjab Police’s first Integrated Saiban Center at the Police Station Gulbarg, examining the various departments of the under-construction center. His tour included a visit to the new driving licensing centers at Gaddafi Stadium, where he reviewed the license issuance process and received a briefing from the CTO Lahore on the center’s operations and facilities.

Dr. Anwar also inspected the Special Initiative Police Stations at Gulberg, Ichra, and Township, assessing their functioning. His visit to the CIA Headquarters Township was marked by the issuance of important instructions to the staff.

The visit concluded at the Central Police Office, where IG Punjab inspected the construction work of the under-construction Police museum. He ordered that all development works be completed within the stipulated timelines, emphasizing that the development of police infrastructure will expedite and simplify the delivery of public services to citizens.

DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, SSP Operations Lahore Ali Raza, SSP Telecommunication Asad Sarfraz Khan, Chief Operating Officer Safe City Mustanasir Feroze, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, and other officers accompanied the IG during these visits.
