Lahore: The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, recently presided over a crucial executive board meeting at the Central Police Office, focusing on enhancing administrative and operational capabilities across various police divisions. The meeting addressed a range of issues from policy formulation to the progress of development projects aimed at improving the police force’s efficiency and welfare.
According to Punjab Police, the discussions covered key sectors such as the Special Protection Unit, Investigation, Traffic, Training, and Welfare. Senior officers presented numerous proposals and recommendations aimed at refining administrative practices and policy approaches within these departments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the need for meticulous supervision of ongoing projects to ensure they meet their specified timelines.
The meeting also included a review of legislation and the implementation of welfare measures for the police force. Dr. Anwar directed that all proposals discussed should be finalized and ready for decision-making at the next meeting. He also highlighted the importance of continually improving service delivery by incorporating feedback from citizens.
Participation in the meeting extended beyond those physically present, with Additional IG South Punjab Muhammad Kamran Khan joining via video link, demonstrating the use of technology in enhancing communication and efficiency within the higher echelons of the police force. Other notable attendees included Additional IGs from various branches, the CCPO Lahore, and several DIGs, all contributing to a comprehensive review and strategic planning session aimed at advancing the capabilities of Punjab Police.
