Lahore: Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar recently led a crucial meeting at the Central Police Office, focusing on enhancing the efficacy of traffic management and legal adherence within the province. The session, attended by high-ranking officials via video link, aimed at accelerating the resolution of pending challans and the issuance of road certificates.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting saw participation from Additional IG South Punjab, all Regional Police Officers (RPOs), City Police Officers (CPOs), and District Police Officers (DPOs) of the province. Dr. Usman Anwar reviewed the current status of pending challans and the progress in the completion of road certificates across various districts. He expressed satisfaction with the recent improvements and emphasized the importance of meeting completion targets promptly.
During the meeting, IG Punjab issued directives to the officers to ensure that pending road certificates and challans are submitted to courts without delays. He stressed the need for strict measures against any investigation officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) who fail to perform their duties efficiently in these areas. The meeting also included key figures such as Additional IG Investigation Muhammad Idrees Ahmad, DIG Investigation Azhar Akram, DIG Legal Awais Ahmad, and AIG Monitoring Malik Tariq Mehmood, who discussed strategies to enhance overall performance and accountability in traffic management and legal processes.
