IG Punjab Chairs Lahore Police Crime Review Meeting Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over a crucial crime review meeting at the CCPO office, focusing on security preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. Emphasizing the need for exceptional security measures at cattle markets and for citizens, IG Anwar lauded the efforts of Lahore Police under the command of CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana for their effective crime control and community policing initiatives.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting highlighted significant achievements in reducing crime rates and improving emergency response times, with notable advancements in the efficiency of the patrolling system. Dr. Anwar recognized several officers for their exemplary performance, particularly praising the organized crime unit for tracing major drug gangs and solving serious crimes.

Directives were issued to further enhance FIR registrations and intensify the crackdown on drug peddling. The IG also instructed improvements in traffic management and continued support for community volunteer programs.
