Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, recognized the outstanding performance of police officers and officials from the Lahore and Gujranwala region by awarding them cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. In a special ceremony held at the Central Police Office, Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of intensified operations against various criminal elements and the use of modern policing techniques.
According to Punjab Police, the awards were presented to 69 officers and officials ranging from constables to inspectors of the district police and elite force. Dr. Anwar commended their efforts in combating crimes and maintaining public safety across the province. Each awardee received a cash prize of 20,000 and a certificate of appreciation. During his address, IG Punjab stressed the continuous need for intelligence-based operations against organized crime and the effective utilization of information technology in policing. He also highlighted the significance of community policing measures and providing relief to citizens under anti-crime operations.
Dr. Anwar congratulated the recipients for their exemplary performance and encouraged them to maintain their high standards. He noted that the tradition of recognizing and rewarding excellent performance is a valuable practice within the Punjab Police, which will continue at all levels. The event was attended by senior officers, including Additional IG Finance and Welfare Mohammad Riaz Nazir Gara, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah, and AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal.
