IG Punjab Awards Bhakkar Police for Capturing Notorious Criminals

Lahore: In recognition of their successful operation against inter-provincial criminals, the Bhakkar police team was awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes by Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar.

According to Punjab Police, the ceremony at the Central Police Office saw the distribution of awards to key team members, including DPO Bhakkar Muhammad Abdullah Lak and DSP Organized Crime Malik Mazhar Hayat. The operation led to the capture of Kamal alias Kamala and Ahsan Zubair, who were wanted by both Punjab and KPK police for serious offenses across multiple districts including Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, and Dera Ismail Khan.

Dr. Usman Anwar lauded the team for their dedication and instructed them to maintain their performance levels, highlighting the department’s strategy of recognizing exemplary service with Gallantry Awards, certificates, and cash incentives. This year, 40 officers and personnel are set to receive prestigious honors, including the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal and President Police Medals for outstanding performance.

Further, Dr. Anwar called for intensified efforts against extortion mafias throughout the province, signaling a continued commitment to law enforcement excellence.
