IG Punjab Allocates Over 2 Million Rupees for Health Welfare of Police Personnel

Lahore: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken decisive action to support the health needs of police employees and their families by allocating funds exceeding 2 million rupees for the treatment of severe illnesses. This funding is part of a broader commitment by the Punjab Police to ensure that no member of the force, or their family, faces serious health issues without support.

According to Punjab Police, the allocated funds are directed towards various urgent medical needs within the police community. Sub-Inspector Mahboob Hussain from Vehari has received 1 million rupees for a kidney transplant, while the wife of the late ASI Abdul Ghaffar has been provided with 500,000 rupees for cancer treatment. Additionally, funds have been distributed for essential surgeries and treatments for other police personnel, including leg surgery for Constable Haris Saqib and gallbladder surgery for Head Constable Amir Ali Khan.

Dr. Usman Anwar has instructed the Welfare Branch to continue its diligent efforts to prioritize health welfare initiatives. The distribution of these funds was approved by a committee chaired by the Additional IG Welfare and Finance, demonstrating a structured approach to addressing the health concerns of police staff and their dependents.
