IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Police Employees’ Children’s Medical Care

Lahore: The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has reinforced his commitment to the health and welfare of police employees’ children by allocating an additional Rs. 2.7 million for medical treatments. The funds are aimed at assisting children suffering from severe illnesses across various districts.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, the funds include Rs. 1.96 million granted to Constable Abdul Rehman from Lahore for the treatment of his young daughter’s hearing issues. Additional financial assistance was provided to Lady Sub-Inspector Mahnoor, Head Constable Muhammad Babar, and Constable Shahid Hussain, each receiving Rs. 250,000 for their children’s medical needs.

Moreover, ASI Muhammad Sawar Khan from Mianwali was allocated Rs. 200,000 for his son’s treatment. Constable Yawar Hussain from Sahiwal received Rs. 100,000 for his daughter’s cardiac care, and Driver Constable Parvez Akhtar from Lahore was granted Rs. 75,000 for his daughter’s medical expenses. Driver Head Constable Ihsan Ullah and Constable Muhammad Bilal were jointly awarded Rs. 130,000 for their sons’ treatments.

The approval of these funds followed a review by the Welfare Management Committee. Dr. Anwar has instructed officers to continue efforts to improve the health welfare of police employees, ensuring effective use of resources.
