IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Police Employee Health Welfare in Lahore

Lahore, In a significant move to support the health and welfare of police personnel, the Punjab Police Compensation Award Committee, under the directives of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, has allocated substantial financial aid. The funds are specifically earmarked for the medical treatment of police employees who have been injured in the line of duty.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting led by Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, reviewed cases from various districts, resulting in the disbursement of 8.5 million PKR to support the health care needs of injured police personnel. Among the beneficiaries, Constable Abdul Rehman of Lahore Police received 3 million PKR, Sub-inspector Faisal Imran of PHP Gujranwala was granted 2.5 million PKR, Constable Muhammad Ilyas of Lahore Police got 2 million PKR, and Head Constable Faryad Hussain received 1 million PKR for their medical expenses.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the priority of providing excellent treatment to injured ‘Ghazi’ officers and officials, affirming the commitment to ongoing support for their welfare. The allocation reflects the department’s dedication to the well-being of its personnel, ensuring they receive the necessary medical care and support to recover and continue their service.
