IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Health Welfare of Police Officials’ Families

Lahore, In a compassionate move to support the health and welfare of police officials and their families, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has released over 20 lakh rupees for the medical treatment of their children.

According to Punjab Police, this initiative is part of the ongoing efforts under the instructions of IG Punjab to ensure the wellbeing of the police force and their families. In one significant case, Lahore police constable Tauseef Akram received 1.5 million rupees for the cochlear implant surgery of his four-year-old son, Muhammad Hadi. This surgery will enable Muhammad Hadi to hear and lead a normal life.

Additionally, ASI Muhammad Hanif was granted 03 lakh rupees for his five-year-old daughter Manahil’s heart disease treatment. Constable Bilal Akbar received one and a half lakh rupees for his three-year-old son Muhammad Hussain’s thalassemia treatment, and lady constable Afshan Nawaz was given 70 thousand rupees for her three-year-old son Abu Bakar’s medical needs.

The Welfare Management Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare Riyaz Nazir Gara, reviewed and approved these cases before forwarding them to IG Punjab for the release of funds. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the continuation of measures under the “Hamaray Phool” project for the health welfare of police employees and their children, ensuring full support for officials facing health challenges.

This initiative highlights the commitment of the Punjab Police to not only serve the community but also care for the health and wellbeing of their own members and families.
