Lahore, In a significant move towards ensuring the well-being of its personnel, the Punjab Police, under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has released funds exceeding 08 lakh rupees for the health welfare of employees across the province. This financial assistance is aimed at supporting police employees who are grappling with health issues, ensuring that they receive the necessary medical treatment without undue financial burden.
According to Punjab Police, the allocation includes assistance for a variety of medical needs. Constable Muhammad Arshad received 02 lakh rupees for thyroid treatment, while Constable Zeeshan Sajid was provided with 02 lakh rupees for his wife’s backbone fracture treatment. PHP Punjab Constable Chaudhry Usman Zafar was given 01 lakh 20 thousand rupees for a hearing disorder, and Lahore Police Sub-Inspector Liaquat Ali received 01 lakh rupees for medical expenses. Additionally, Faisalabad Constable Allah Ditta and DG Khan’s ASI Ashiq Hussain Shaheed’s wife were each given 70 thousand rupees for their medical expenses, and Lahore Police Constable Muhammad Rauf Yousaf received 60 thousand rupees for treatment.
Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of continuous support from the welfare branch for the health welfare of the police force. He stated that no effort should be spared in providing relief to employees facing medical problems, highlighting the department’s commitment to the health and well-being of its members.
This initiative reflects the Punjab Police’s dedication to caring for its workforce, recognizing the physical and mental strains that police officers often face due to the nature of their duties.
