IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Health Care of Police Employees and Their Families


Lahore, In a significant move to support the health and welfare of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has allocated an additional 25 lakh rupees for their medical treatment. This funding is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the police force and their families receive necessary health care without interruption.



According to Punjab Police, the allocation includes significant amounts for several police officers facing serious health issues. Trainee Sub-Inspector Uzair Abbas of Lahore Police has been granted 10 lakh rupees for a bone marrow transplant and blood cancer treatment. Constable Rasool Bakhsh has received 5 lakh rupees for a liver transplant, and ASI Ihtesham of Attock Police has been allocated 5 lakh rupees for his wife’s medical treatment. Additionally, Constable Latif Ullah of Okara Police and Ghazi Muhammad Imran Gill of Lahore Police have each been provided 2.5 lakh rupees for cancer treatments.



Dr. Anwar emphasized the priority of health and welfare for the police force, affirming that the Welfare Branch will continue to implement measures to provide enhanced medical facilities funded by police welfare income.
