IG Punjab Allocates Financial Aid for Police Employees’ Medical Treatment


Lahore, In an ongoing effort to support the health and welfare of police personnel, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has sanctioned a significant financial package for employees grappling with serious medical issues. This recent initiative has seen the distribution of another 13 lakh rupees among police employees from various districts, including Lahore, specifically aimed at covering their medical treatment expenses.



According to Punjab Police, this financial assistance is part of a broader commitment by Dr. Usman Anwar to ensure that police employees facing health challenges can access the necessary medical care without financial burden. Among the beneficiaries are constables and assistant sub-inspectors suffering from conditions such as paralysis, liver ailments, cancer, and spinal cord issues.



The details reveal that individual grants of up to 01 lakh rupees have been provided for various treatments: Constable Mohsin Raza Shah for paralysis, the wife of a constable for cancer, Constable Ghazi Ijaz Ahmed for liver treatment, and others for similarly critical conditions. This support extends to both the officers and their immediate family members in need of medical care.



Dr. Anwar’s directive underscores the Punjab Police’s dedication to the well-being of its force, ensuring that the health concerns of its members are addressed promptly and effectively. This gesture of financial aid not only alleviates the medical expenses burden but also reinforces the sense of solidarity and support within the police force.
