IG Punjab Allocates Additional Funds for Police Health Welfare

Lahore, In a significant move to bolster the health and welfare of the Punjab police force and their families, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has released an additional 08 lakh rupees. This funding is a part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of the police personnel, reflecting the department’s commitment to its members.

According to Punjab Police, this allocation has been distributed among several officers and their families for various medical needs. Faisalabad constable Wajid Hussain received two and a half lakh rupees for his son’s cancer treatment. Constable Muhammad Asim and Constable Hamza Riaz were allocated Rs 01 lakh each for cancer and paralysis treatment, respectively. Similarly, ASI Muhammad Zahid and Head Constable Muhammad Ahsan Amin received 70 thousand rupees each for their daughter’s treatment, while Head Constable Shahid Mehmood and Constable Muhammad Afzal were given the same amount for treating various diseases. Senior Clerk Muhammad Irfan was provided 66 thousand rupees for a hernia operation.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the need for expediting measures to address the health issues of officers and personnel. He stressed that such support is crucial for enabling them to focus on their duties wholeheartedly.
