Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with officers from various districts, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Senior Traffic Wardens, and Traffic Wardens, to discuss issues related to promotions.
The officers briefed IG Punjab on the challenges they were encountering in the promotion process. In response, Dr. Anwar assured them that their legitimate concerns would be prioritized and addressed. He instructed DIG Establishment-I to expedite the resolution of any obstacles hindering the promotion process.
Dr. Anwar emphasized the Punjab Police’s commitment to a “No Man Left Behind” policy, ensuring that employees who meet the criteria of seniority, merit, and regulations receive timely promotions. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to promote paperless operations, with officer evaluations being completed swiftly under the Human Resource Management System. Promotion notifications are being processed through the digital e-FOAS system to maintain transparency.
The IG underscored the importance of digital technology in recruitment, promotion, and posting processes, which has fostered increased trust in the force’s service and promotion structure.
