IG Punjab Addresses Citizen and Police Concerns at Open Court Session

LAHORE, At an open court session held at the Central Police Office, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, directly addressed the concerns of citizens and police officials, leading to immediate relief orders.

According to the Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar actively sought out reports from supervisory officers about the citizens’ requests and directed District Police Officers (DPOs) to conduct thorough inquiries and provide timely relief to the public. Emphasizing the importance of addressing citizen complaints, the IG urged supervisory officers to expedite responses to these requests. He sternly added that officers and personnel who neglect standard operating procedures during their duties will face consequences. Additionally, Dr. Anwar attended to requests from police personnel and their families, mandating immediate relief based on merit, especially concerning pensions, discipline, and leaves. He underscored the necessity of swift action on applications linked to health welfare, ensuring comprehensive support for the police force.
