Islamabad, July 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):During his visit, he had a detailed meeting with Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, Chief Secretary Sindh, regarding encroachment of Federal government land situated in Karachi. Secretary Housing has shown concern over the encroachment issue and requested to resolve the issue swiftly yet effectively as this is a matter of grave importance.

Iftikhar Ali Shallwani also requested Chief Secretary to take stern action against encroachments on government lands on which he assured his full cooperation to resolve the matter and said that strict actions would be taken and no negligence would be tolerated in this matter. Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, visited Masjid Tayyaba (Bath Island) along with Chief Engineer PWD. He also visited Qasr e Naaz, Karachi and directed the concern to improve the Lodge to facilitate the touring Government officials in the best possible way.

During the visit, Secretary Housing also visited the site, Carlton Hotel, which has been proposed for the construction of executive apartments. Shallwani was apprised about the ongoing litigation on some parts of the plot. As per his directions, the case must be regularly followed and get the issue resolved as soon as possible.
