Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that Ideas 2024, an international defense exhibition and seminar, will strengthen strategic and trade relations between Pakistan and its global partners. The event is scheduled to take place from November 19 to November 22 at the Karachi Expo Center.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the announcement was made during the third meeting of the Twelfth International Defense Exhibition and Seminar-Steering Committee for Ideas 2024. The meeting included participation from provincial ministers, DG DPO Major General Asad Nawaz Khan Hilal Imtiaz (Military), Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, and representatives from federal ministries, provincial governments, armed forces, and law enforcement agencies.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized that Ideas has been a significant event for the national and international defense industry since its inception in 2000, gaining popularity due to its focus on modern technology and knowledge exchange. He highlighted the event’s role as a symbol of Pakistan’s international relationships, providing a platform for discussion on global defense and security challenges.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of meticulous planning and coordination among various agencies and departments to ensure the event’s success. He assured that the government would offer full support for the exhibition. Major General Asad Nawaz Khan Hilal presided over a session on national-level preparations, where he was briefed on administrative, security, and relief measures.
DG DPO announced that the event would feature advanced defense technology exhibitions, international seminars, cultural shows, and interactions between businessmen and government officials. A special Karachi show will also be held for residents on November 21, 2024, at Nishan Imtiaz CVU. Zoheer Naseer, CEO of Badr Solutions, stated that the event would be well-organized with support from various governmental and military bodies.
