Islamabad, August 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):President Dr Arif Alvi says I-voting is imperative to incorporate nine million overseas Pakistanis to the electoral process and modern technology should be used for fool proof security of this system. He said this while chairing a meeting in Islamabad today regarding emerging technologies in I-Voting. The President asked NADRA to provide required cooperation to overcome technical challenges in evolving the system of I-Voting.
The meeting agreed to form a sub-committee to expedite formulating the system of I-Voting and remove hurdles in its way. The President commended the concerned departments and organizations on the progress made so far in preparing an I-Voting system.
