Srinagar, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hypertension is increasing at an alarming rate in the Kashmir Valley, a highly militarized zone of the world. A nodal officer for Hypertension, Dr Junaid talking to a Srinagar-based news agency said Hypertension is rising at an alarming rate in the Kashmir valley as around 10-20 percent population is suffering from this disease, however, the percentage varies from place to place.

He said there are several reasons for Hypertension in the Valley, adding it is not the same everywhere but varies from place to place and has many causes. Dr Junaid said if hypertension is left untreated, it may cause organ failure slowly or can even cause death, adding that a lot of stress can also lead to mental illness.
