Srinagar, June 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a division bench of High Court has stayed the operation of a judgment directing the occupation authorities to exhume the body of a fake encounter victim Aamir Magrey. Aamir Magrey along with three other civilians was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Hyderpora area of Srinagar on November 15, last year.
A division bench of the High Court, comprising Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey and Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, has stayed the operation of the judgment dated May 27 that directed the authorities to exhume the body of Aamir Magrey of Banihal area of Ramban district in Jammu region. While issuing notices to the respondents, the Court said that the matter requires a final decision after hearing all parties concerned.
A single bench the court allowing a petition by Aamir’s father, Latief Magrey, on May 27 had asked the authorities to make appropriate arrangements for transportation of the body to native village in Banihal in Ramban district of Jammu region for according burial without further delay.
