Srinagar: Hurriyat leaders have once again affirmed that the struggle of the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir for self-determination is legitimate and recognized under international law.
According to Kashmir Media Service, leaders and organizations in Srinagar released statements emphasizing that the Kashmiri freedom movement is globally acknowledged as justified. “International law grants us the right to struggle for freedom from Indian occupation,” they declared.
They pointed out that the United Nations Security Council resolutions support their claims and vowed to continue their peaceful resistance until these resolutions are fully implemented. The leaders criticized India’s efforts to portray their freedom struggle as terrorism, using false flag operations and propaganda, which they believe will not undermine their cause.
“The Modi regime’s violent repression in IIOJK will only strengthen our resolve,” the leaders stated, committing to persist in their efforts until a plebiscite is conducted under the auspices of the UN.
The Hurriyat leaders called on the international community to acknowledge and support the Kashmiris’ rightful struggle for self-determination and freedom.
