Hurriyat Leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi Arrested in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested today by Indian police in the region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This development comes shortly after his release a few months prior, which was ordered by the court after a prolonged period of detention.

According to Kashmir Media Service reports that the spokesman for Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi released a statement in Srinagar detailing Inqilabi’s arrest. The arrest has sparked criticism, with Abdul Majeed Lone, the organization’s representative in Muzaffarabad, condemning the act. He labeled India’s approach to the Kashmir dispute as a threat to regional peace and security.

The statement also included an appeal to the international community, urging it to pressure India to relent on its rigid stance regarding Kashmir and to seek a resolution in line with United Nations resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri populace.
