Hub: The construction of the Hub Nadi Bridge, a critical infrastructural project in the constituency of Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan, is progressing swiftly, with the project nearing its final stages. The bridge, crucial for maintaining uninterrupted communication from Hub District’s industrial zone to Karachi, has commenced black topping, with expectations set for its opening next month.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Balochistan High Court has mandated the timely completion of the bridge construction project, which is being supervised by Commissioner Kalat Division Muhammad Naeem Bazai and Project Director of NNHA, Hub River Bridge Prakash. The project, significantly backed by the federal government with an investment of 1198 million for reconstruction after the devastating flood of 2022, is also monitored by Colonel Rafi of the National Logistics Cell (NLC).
The maintenance and construction efforts by the National Highway Authority’s technical wing and NLC are in the advanced stages, with only the bridge’s shoulder remaining to be constructed. Officials from the National Highway Authority have confirmed that the construction of the shoulder is expected to be completed within the next month, which will allow the bridge to be opened for traffic.
Additionally, Commissioner Bazai highlighted ongoing work on the Sakran Road construction project adjacent to the Hub Nadi Bridge and Eastern Bay Haas. This project, costing 53 crore rupees, is also under the purview of the Balochistan High Court’s orders and is being carried out by the Department of Communications and Construction’s engineers and staff. Commissioner Bazai expressed optimism that the sustainable and high-quality construction of these projects will enhance the communication facilities for the residents of Hub district.
