Honor Ceremony Celebrates Exceptional Punjab Police Officers

Lahore: A ceremony was organized at the Central Police Office to honor officers and personnel for their outstanding performance. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presented commendation certificates and cash prizes to 23 officers and personnel from Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Toba Tek Singh.

DSP Mumtaz Ahmad Mekan and his team were recognized for swiftly arresting a double murder convict. They received commendation certificates and cash prizes for their prompt action.

DSP Tariq Mehmood Dogar and his team were awarded for apprehending a gang and recovering stolen goods valued at Rs. 24.4 million.

Inspector Khalid Waryah and his team were acknowledged for arresting and extraditing six proclaimed offenders wanted for serious crimes. These offenders had fled abroad but were captured and brought to justice.

Sub-Inspector Anas Rasheed and his team received recognition for arresting four criminals involved in a robbery case. The criminals were also responsible for the sexual assault of two women during the crime.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the police teams for their performance and urged them to maintain their dedication. He emphasized the importance of continuing operations against criminals involved in serious crimes.

Dr. Anwar directed the police to conduct intelligence-based search and sweep operations to eradicate crime. He stressed the need for targeted operations to eliminate dangerous criminals and enhance public safety.

The ceremony highlighted the Punjab Police’s commitment to rewarding excellence and ensuring a secure environment for citizens.
