Hong Kong bans flights from India

Hong Kong, January 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Hong Kong government has re-imposed some of its toughest Covid restrictions and banned Indian flights till January 21 to arrest the rising number of Omicron cases. The Hong Kong Chief Executive, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor announced that they had banned flights from eight countries, including India, until January 21 to overcome the rising number of Omicron cases. The travellers from eight countries, including India, via transit – are banned for two weeks, starting Saturday, a Hong Kong-based newspaper reported.
