New Delhi, Three Muslim men were beaten to death by a mob in the Aurangabad district of the Indian state of Bihar, with two others critically injured in the assault. The incident, which involved a car parking dispute, has stirred communal tensions in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the police reported that the deceased, Muhammad Mujahid, Charan Mansuri, and Muhammad Ansari, were from the neighboring state of Jharkhand. The two injured, Vakil Ansari and Ajeet Sharma, were also attacked during the incident, with Sharma in critical condition and Ansari stable after being admitted to Sadar Hospital in Aurangabad.
The brutal attack, which took place on Monday, was captured in videos that have since circulated on social media, showing the mob armed with sticks assaulting the car’s occupants.
Akhtarul Iman, President of the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in Bihar, accused the Nitish Kumar government of failing to protect its citizens and demanded a high-level investigation into the incident, as well as compensation for the families of the deceased.
