SRINAGAR, The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has nullified the detention of two individuals, Shabbir Ahmad Khanday and Aamir Amin Dar, who were booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, these detentions were deemed illegal by the High Court. Shabbir Ahmad Khanday and Aamir Amin Dar had been detained under the PSA in the previous year.
Following the court’s verdict, the authorities have been directed to ensure the immediate release of both detainees. The decision represents a significant development in the context of ongoing concerns about the use of the PSA in IIOJK.
