High Court in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Annuls Detention of Two Individuals

Srinagar, The High Court of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has nullified the detention of two individuals who were previously held under the controversial Public Safety Act (PSA).

According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, a bench led by Justice Sindhu Sharma revoked the detention under PSA of Mohammad Haneef Guroo from Rabitar, Ganderbal. The court directed the authorities to immediately release him unless he was required in connection with another case.

Similarly, Justice Rajnesh Oswal’s bench invalidated the PSA detention order against Adil Afzal Lone, which was previously issued by the District Magistrate of Srinagar. The court instructed that the detainee be released unless there is a need to hold him for another case.
