‘Hey Modi!’: British Musician calls out Indian PM over arrest of Kashmiri rights defender

London, December 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):British Musician and founding member of the former rock band, Pink Floyd has called out Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for the arrest of noted Kashmiri human rights activist, Khurram Parvez.

According to Kashmir Media Service, this comes amid calls from the various international human rights organizations seeking an immediate release of Khurram Parvez. “Hey Modi, leave Khurram alone!” the musician said while re-tweeting a tweet demanding the release of the rights activist.

Rogers has always been vocal about Kashmir, in a video shared by Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan in Feb 2020, the musician spoke out against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act introduced by the Modi government during a protest in London demanding the release of Julian Assange, who founded WikiLeaks in 2006.
