Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has initiated a National Outreach Programme aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of university management staff at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. The programme is designed to provide training in various contemporary themes, including professional communication, strategic planning, and the application of artificial intelligence for workplace efficiency.

According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the initiative is being facilitated by experienced faculty and practitioners from both academia and the public sector. The training involves interactive lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, offering participants a chance to develop their professional skills. The programme has attracted a diverse group from different administrative and management sectors, promoting knowledge sharing and networking.

Slated to continue until August 3, 2026, the programme aims to equip participants with modern management tools and insights to aid in the development of Pakistan’s higher education sector. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Muneer Ahmed Mirjat, Director of NAHE HEC, highlighted the role of universities in societal transformation and the importance of improving institutional performance. He assured ongoing support for professional development opportunities across the country’s higher education institutions.
